Meter reading for the point on Earth the amplifier?

I have a multimeter and I check if I have a good base, does anyone know what the reading should be in the meter and where I have to place the probes?

The resistance of the ground will be too low for a current meter to measure. Best to check the voltage at the amplifier when working. Any large deviation from the 12 volt source (engine off) indicate a resistance somewhere in the wiring or connections. If you are still concerned the ground, do this. set the meter to 10 VDC, connect a wire to a good ground and the other with the tag attached to the end of ground wire, or the cable itself, NOT the ground pin. Over the amplifier should see a voltage here as the resistance must be very low. If the connection is poor, I removed it, clean the metal under it to bright, apply a little petroleum jelly, Vaseline, and re-connect. That should fix it.
